The Thriving Third
A Place to Belong
Everyone deserves a place where they feel accepted, connected and able to be themselves. The Thriving Third is our dedicated social opportunities service, creating safe, welcoming spaces where care and justice experienced young people build meaningful relationships and become part of a supportive community.

Inspired by the concept of the "third place"-
A space beyond home, education or work
The Thriving Third provides opportunities to connect with others, develop confidence and enjoy experiences that promote wellbeing and belonging.
Our activities are trauma-informed, lived experience-led and shaped by the people who take part. Whether you are attending your first social event or becoming a regular member of our community, you will always be welcomed without judgement or expectation.

What we offer
The Thriving Third includes a wide range of social, recreational and community-based opportunities, including:
Every partnership is designed around your priorities, your community and the outcomes you want to achieve.

Why it matters
Strong relationships and a sense of belonging are essential for wellbeing.
Many care and justice experienced young people face isolation, exclusion or limited opportunities to build positive social connections. The Thriving Third helps change that — by bringing people together through shared experiences, we help participants build confidence, strengthen support networks and create lasting connections that continue long after each activity ends.
